About the Role:

As a Manager, Reverse Logistics you will lead and optimize reverse logistics operations across multiple remote warehouse locations in partnership with our 3rd-party logistics (3PL) providers. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end return processes, including RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), refurbishment, and disposition strategies to maximize recovery value and minimize costs.

You will oversee a team focused on operational excellence, drive process improvements, and enhance efficiencies in returns handling, inventory reconciliation, and warranty management. Additionally, you will maintain strong relationships with 3PL partners, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and continuous performance enhancements. This position requires strategic oversight, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration with supply chain, customer service, and engineering teams.

What You'll Do:Reverse Logistics Strategy & Operations

  • Oversee and optimize end-to-end reverse logistics operations, including returns management, RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), refurbishment, and product disposition.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve returns processing efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize asset recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to product returns, warranty claims, and disposal processes.

3PL & Vendor Management

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for 3PL reverse logistics performance, ensuring service levels align with business and customer expectations.
  • Provide strategic oversight of 3PL operations to ensure seamless execution of returns handling, inventory reconciliation, and refurbishment activities.
  • Monitor and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) such as return processing time, refurbishment yield, and inventory accuracy.
  • Identify service gaps, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives with 3PL partners.

Inventory & Returns Processing

  • Oversee the tracking and reconciliation of returned inventory, ensuring accuracy and alignment with internal systems.
  • Collaborate with inventory and supply chain teams to optimize stock disposition, minimize losses, and maximize resale or refurbishment value.
  • Partner with 3PL providers to implement best practices for return grading, restocking, and secondary market sales strategies.

    Logistics & Cost Optimization

  • Optimize transportation and inbound logistics for returned goods in collaboration with freight and logistics teams.
  • Identify cost-effective shipping solutions while maintaining service reliability and adherence to return SLAs.
  • Manage relationships with logistics providers to ensure smooth handling and timely resolution of return-related challenges.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

  • Develop strong relationships with internal teams, including customer service, sales, operations, and finance, to align reverse logistics strategies with business goals.
  • Provide regular reports on reverse logistics performance, including return rates, processing efficiency, cost savings, and inventory reconciliation metrics.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management with a focus on 3PL operations.
  • Familiarity with 3PL systems and technologies.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Communication Skills- Strong communication skills in order to collaborate with different swimlanes, and conduct business with manufacturers and 3PL
  • Organizational Skills- Be able to perform several tasks at one time, keep detailed records, and manage several projects in a fast- paced environment
  • Problem-solving Skills- Must handle unforeseen issues, 
  • Analytic Skills- Collect and analyze information, problem solve with data and make decisions. 
  •  Minimum 3-5 years of related experience on Supply Chain or Logistics in a consumer products
  • Very strong Excel Skills required
  • Experience working in an ERP (Netsuite/Coupa)
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the logistics and warehouse industry.

The base compensation range for this role is:

$94,000$143,000 USD
