As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Finance Last Mile Regulatory Reporting team, you will be leading a high-performing technical team dedicated to delivering top-notch regulatory reporting solutions. Your proficiency in Axiom, PL/SQL, Python, AWS, and Databricks will be instrumental in steering your team to meet regulatory standards, guarantee data precision, and uphold compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to a technical team specializing in Finance Last Mile Regulatory Reporting, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with regulatory, compliance, and business teams to define reporting requirements and design solutions that meet regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of regulatory reporting features, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Utilize your expertise in Axiom, PL/SQL, and Python to contribute to the design and implementation of technical solutions for regulatory reporting.
  • Implement and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and performance for regulatory reporting processes.
  • Leverage Databricks for data processing and analytics, driving insights and ensuring data integrity in regulatory reports.
  • Foster an agile mindset within the team, encouraging adaptability, continuous improvement, and responsiveness to change.
  • Influence and engage stakeholders, effectively communicating project goals, progress, and outcomes to ensure alignment and support.
  • Challenge the status quo and drive an innovative mindset within the team, exploring multiple options to resolve business problems.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery of regulatory reports.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and development.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
  • Extensive experience in managing and leading technical teams, with a focus on regulatory reporting in the financial services industry.
  • Strong expertise in Axiom, PL/SQL, and Python, with a proven track record of successful project delivery in regulatory reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture, with experience in deploying and managing cloud-based solutions for regulatory reporting.
  • Familiarity with Databricks and data analytics, with the ability to drive data-driven insights and ensure data integrity in regulatory reports.
  • Agile mindset with experience in agile methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Experience in the financial services industry, specifically in regulatory reporting, is highly desirable.
  • Certifications in AWS or Databricks are a plus.
