In this role you will lead teams of software engineers responsible for our InsightCloudSec product focused on CSPM. We ship new content and product updates regularly to our customers to ensure they're protected from new vulnerabilities as they arise. You will work closely with an outstanding peer group of highly skilled engineers in order to prioritize and set direction of the teams.

About the Role
As a software engineering manager for the InsightCloudSec teams, you will be responsible for managing their day-to-day operations, code reviews, and writing code as necessary. First and foremost, you coach and grow the individuals on your team so they feel supported. You will be responsible for addressing any issues that arise quickly and effectively.
You will also be responsible for keeping track of the projects the teams are working on, facilitating cross-team discussions when necessary and deciding on the future direction of the team (what projects they will focus on next). You will collaborate with Product, DevOps and other development teams to deliver best-in-class solutions for our customers.
You'll work directly with, but not limited to, the following technologies:
AWS (EC2, RDS, VPC networking, S3, Network Firewall etc.), Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub, Slack

In this role, you will;
- Directly manage multiple team members, coach and mentor team members, including scoping work and prioritising tasks Mentor engineers and help grow their skills, identify growth areas, set expectations and provide feedback
- Lead the platform and solution architecture to enhance and add new features leveraging Event-driven Architecture, REST-based web APIs, middleware and AWS services.
- Managing projects and socialising progress across engineering teams and leadership
- Keep a keen eye on quality, and continue to drive improvements to testing, monitoring and alerting
- Work cross functionally with PM, and Engineering to address specific customer pain points and think strategically about the future direction of the product
- Work closely with other managers and teams across the InsightCloudSec to align efforts and initiatives
- Kickstart new ideas, build proof of concepts and jumpstart newly funded projects
- Lead JIRA boards, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions
The skills you'll bring include:
- A track record for mentoring and growing software engineers at all levels
- A demonstrable passion for all things software engineering, including knowledge of designing and implementing reliable architectures in cloud environments
- An understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experience working cross-functionally with PM and Engineering teams
- Experience with managing multiple, high-impact projects
- Capable of managing through high-intensity situations when they arise
- BEng, BSc or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
