About the role

We are looking for a Manager, Targeted Marketing – Affinity & White Labels to join our growing team!  

Reporting to the Director, Marketing – Affinity & White Labels you will play a key role in managing our targeted marketing production for all affinity and white label groups. This role is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing all aspects of direct mail, email and print ad marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, creative design, production, mailing logistics, and performance analysis, with the goal of driving customer acquisition and revenue growth through targeted mail pieces delivered directly to potential customers. 

We are looking for an experienced leader who has led, guided, and mentor a team of experts. Aside from being an exceptional leader who creates high engagement, the Manager is a change agent motivating the team. The Manager is also recognized for the ability to influence multiple stakeholders to easily overcome obstacles.

What you'll do:

Operations & Production:

  • You will leverage internal experts and external partners, analyze customers insights and behaviours and many data sources to refine the strategy and support your team in translating the vision in an actionable roadmap.

  • Collaborate with designers and creative teams to develop visually appealing and impactful mail pieces.

  • Oversee the campaign implementation and production process, including email design, printing, mailing envelopes, and other campaign materials.

Leadership & Development:

  • Providing leadership, guidance, and support to the team to ensure alignment with IFC’s goals objectives and vision

  • Assigning tasks and projects to team members based on their skills and current workload

  • Offering feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members

  • Defining and implementing processes and tools to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency

  • Fostering a cooperative atmosphere and encouraging transparent communication within the team to enhance

Stakeholder & Vendor Management :

  • You will build strong relationships with your peers, external partners, and executives across our organization. You’ll communicate your strategy and influence stakeholders, supported by a deep understanding of customers, each brand objectives and business needs

  • Collaborating and coordinating with other departments to ensure strategic alignment and smooth execution of campaigns

  • Work with the creative team to develop a compelling and effective marketing materials for templates and versioning

  • Managing relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-efficiency

  • Monitoring the quality of deliverables from suppliers and promptly addressing any issues or discrepancies

  • Tracking and managing the budget for supplier-related expenses

Performance Analysis and Optimization:

  • Monitor campaign performance through tracking metrics like response rates, conversion rates, and ROI.

  • Analyze campaign data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven adjustments to future campaigns.

  • Test different creative variations and mailing strategies to maximize campaign effectiveness.

You will get to:

  • Develop and adhere to campaign budgets, optimizing costs across all aspects of direct mail production.

  • Redefine the team’s service model with partners and key stakeholders, and optimizing the team’s processes, tools and practices to increase collaboration, efficiency and autonomy.

  • Support affinity and white label growth ambitions.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Oversee performance metrics by channel.

  • Contribute to annual business plans and ensure rigorous budget management.

  • Manage, coach and develop a team of professionals to foster strong engagement.

  • Nurture innovation; increase the use of data and AI to gain efficiencies.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing and any combination of equivalent education.

  • At least 5 years of experience managing professionals.

  • At least 7 years of experience in/or combination of; executing targeted marketing, production operations, stakeholder relationships, affinity marketing.

  • Expert understanding of direct mail, email and print ad marketing principles and best practices and CASL legislation

  • Strong understanding in data analysis and list segmentation techniques

  • Excellent project management skills, including budget management and timelines

  • Experience working with external vendors and suppliers involved in direct mail, email and print ad production

  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and data analysis software

  • Excellent communicator, proficient in presenting your ideas to various stakeholders and influencing business decisions.

  • A team player with a positive attitude, you love working in a collaborative environment and inspire your team to thrive.

  • Organized, at ease in a fast-paced, changing environment and able to prioritize.

  • Solution-driven, not afraid to challenge status-quo and innovate.

  • Experienced with affinity marketing strategies is an asset

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
