Group Summary:
The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.

Job Responsibilities:

·  Provide support to the Manufacturing Engineer for all carryover programs, new program launches and engineering prototype builds

·         Analyze issues affecting internal quality (PPM) and productivity issues (OEE - overall equipment efficiency)

·         Update measurables, presentation material, and other tracking documents for monthly Quality Operating System (QOS) reviews and Ergonomic Committee Meetings

·         Assist with quotations for current programs (continuous improvement opportunities) and potential new programs (new fixtures, equipment, processes, etc.)

·         Perform Ergonomic/Safety risk assessments and assist with quarterly audits

·         Must be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it effects quality and the environment for our customers

·         Perform other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills

·         Completion of high school or equivalent.

·         Less than 1 year of work-related experience.

·         Enrolment in a post-secondary program in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

·         Previous experience in automotive manufacturing or general assembly manufacturing an asset.

·         PLC experience an asset

·         Basic Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC)

·         Ability to read and understand AutoCAD layouts and blueprints

·         Basic understanding of Ergonomics an asset

Salary Range: $19.45 - $24.89/per hour
