Job Summary:

The Market & Business Analyst will provide market and business analysis support, reporting to the Director of Corporate Strategy. As a Market & Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting strategic decision-making processes by analyzing market trends, competitive dynamics, and business performance metrics. You will collaborate across business units to develop pricing strategies, track key performance indicators, and lead strategic initiatives that drive business growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pricing decisions and pricing strategy by maintaining pricing tools, collaborating with product management, and conducting market analysis to ensure competitive positioning. [40%]

  • Monitor and report on sales pipeline performance and business development metrics, including product registration, renewal processes, and connected services offerings to support strategic decision-making. [15%]

  • Gather and analyze market data, competitive intelligence, and industry trends to develop actionable business insights and support strategic decision-making. [10%]

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, provide financial insights, and support operational initiatives aimed at optimizing processes and maximizing efficiency.[10%]

  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess business scenarios, evaluate investment opportunities, and support strategic planning initiatives. [10%]

  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management, providing actionable insights to address specific business challenges or opportunities.[5%]

  • Support and lead strategic projects that require business unit leadership and/or cross-BU governance to facilitate execution and ensure progress against strategic objectives. [5%]

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the business unit, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. [5%]

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business administration or a related subject.

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in business and/or market analysis, preferably for a technology company

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business requirements.

  • Proficient with MS Office with expert Excel knowledge.

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA/CPA/CFA

  • Experience with pricing analysis, market research, and product management collaboration.

  • Experience with IoT, telecommunications, or connected device industries.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000.  There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
