BIS Safety Software is a fast-growing technology company providing leading software for the safety industry. We are looking to add a Marketing SDR to our expanding team.

Who We Are

Founded in 2006, BIS is proudly headquartered in Sherwood Park, Alberta. We have developed a world class software solution by emphasizing client relationships and continuous innovation, and we are looking to continue our growth across North America and around the world.

About the Role

As a member of the marketing team, you will be an important storyteller and connector between our brand and the EHS community. You will focus on outreach—making warm calls, attending events, leveraging platforms like LinkedIn, and engaging partners and prospective clients through meaningful conversations. You will represent our brand with curiosity, compassion, and a genuine interest in EHS leaders and their stories. Whether it’s initiating a conversation that leads to a podcast appearance, inviting someone to an upcoming event, or exploring future collaboration, you will help open doors and build authentic relationships. This role is about creating space for connection—not being pushy, but being present, thoughtful, and engaging in every interaction. Your goal is to spark interest, create connection, and leave people feeling seen and heard.

This is an in-person position based in our Sherwood Park, Alberta office.

Want to stand out? Be creative with your application!

What You'll Do

  • Relationship Building: Initiate warm outbound communications via phone, email, and LinkedIn to connect with current and potential clients and partners.
  • Create Strong First Impressions: Serve as the first point of contact in our outreach strategy (including high-volume email writing, phone calls, etc.) creating a positive and memorable first impression of BIS.
  • Discover Insights & Stories: Gather insights and stories through authentic conversations that can inform our marketing content and strategies.
  • Enable Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to pass qualified leads and insights for follow-up and deeper engagement.
  • Communicate with Agility: Adapt communication style and tone to different audiences with ease—being a “conversation chameleon” who listens first and tailors follow-up accordingly.
  • Coordinate Strategic Campaigns: Work closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate outreach strategies and support broader marketing campaigns.
  • Support Podcast Growth: Contribute to podcast guest sourcing and pre-interview prep for our ongoing content efforts.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve outreach strategies through feedback, training, and data-driven insights

Who You Are

  • Passionate about talking to people, discovering their stories, and building connections.
  • Not pushy—intuitively knows when to step back and when to move forward in conversations.
  • Has 3–5 years of professional experience in customer outreach, relationship development, or inside sales, ideally in a B2B environment.
  • Able to handle repetitive outreach tasks with focus and consistency, while bringing energy to every interaction.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong English fluency—natural, conversational, and professional.
  • Comfortable on the phone, on camera/podcasts and at events, as needed.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative—enjoys learning through feedback and being part of a cross-functional team.
  • Tech-savvy and familiar with tools such as LinkedIn, CRM platforms, and virtual communication software.
  • Curious and coachable, with a desire to grow personally and professionally as the role itself grows and evolves.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience in the EHS industry
  • Background in podcasting, event planning or guest coordination
  • Familiarity with CRM tools
