Overview
Working closely with and reporting to the National Marketing Manager - Chevrolet Cars & Crossovers, the Marketing Segment Manager (MSM) monitors and analyzes market dynamics to develop and coordinate strategic plans and marketing initiatives. This role will support the existing Chevrolet Cars, Compact Crossovers and Mid-Crossovers portfolio
This role will be Hybrid in nature with some occasional travel required to US/ Canada.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Brand Team in achieving Business Plan Targets - Sales, Market Share, Profitability and Brand Health
  • Work closely with the Chevrolet Advertising & Communications Team & Chevrolet MSM counterparts to develop comprehensive marketing plans
  • Perform detailed analysis & develop recommendations in support of overall vehicle brand management process, including, but not limited to, retail incentives, market dynamics, competitive environment, packaging, pricing and volume.
  • Develop strategic and concise brand plans and support the Chevrolet Advertising & Communications team with creative agency briefs
  • Assist in the execution of flawless product launches
  • Develop and present retail incentive proposals and go-to-market plans to leadership and regional teams as part of the monthly retail planning process (RPM)
  • Support model year refresh (MYR) process by providing direction and content to various internal functions for dealer and consumer facing tools and resources
  • Assist in the development of new product programs, making recommendations on product packaging, pricing and marketing strategy
  • Liaise and support the PR team with content for media press releases, media interviews and physical and virtual content and support for Media Ride & Drives
  • Develop impactful sales, marketing and training tools for field staff and dealership personnel
  • Develop, or support as required, the communication of vehicle ordering recommendations and production constraints to field staff and dealership personnel
  • Build relationships and interface with the Canadian Regional Teams, US Marketing Teams and Global Brand Teams to collaborate and understand strategic alignment opportunities on an ongoing basis
  • Support development of unique Canadian brand positioning, as required

  • Demonstrated strength in Microsoft office - Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Previous field sales experience considered an asset
  • Pervious marketing experience considered an asset
  • Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset

Education and Training
  • Post Secondary Education required
  • University degree (Bachelor of Commerce / Business with major in Marketing or Finance an asset) preferred
