Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented National Account Manager to manage key customer relationships and drive profitable growth within the energy and electrical markets. Based in Simcoe, Ontario, this position will work primarily remotely while maintaining a strong connection to the manufacturing facility.


The ideal candidate combines strong strategic account management experience with a proven ability to develop new business, build long-term customer relationships, and identify growth opportunities within the CTC wire and energy markets.


Key Responsibilities

Account Management

· Serve as the primary contact for key national customers, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term growth.

· Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with business objectives.

· Lead customer business reviews, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations.

· Build strong relationships with customer decision-makers and key stakeholders.

Business Development

· Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within the energy and electrical markets.

· Prospect for new customers and expand existing accounts through relationship building and solution-based selling.

· Understand customer requirements and partner with internal teams to develop solutions that meet their needs.

· Maintain a strong sales pipeline and deliver accurate sales forecasts.

Strategic Sales Leadership

· Drive profitable revenue growth through value-based selling and effective account strategies.

· Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities.

· Work with leadership to develop market and account strategies that support overall business growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other internal teams to support customer requirements and successful program execution.

· Serve as the voice of the customer internally while ensuring commitments can be effectively supported by the organization.

Travel & Customer Engagement

· Travel approximately 25–40% for customer visits, industry events, trade shows, and internal meetings.

· Work remotely while visiting the Simcoe manufacturing facility approximately 1–2 times per month to maintain alignment with manufacturing and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

· 5–8+ years of experience in national account management, sales, business development, or a related commercial role.

· Experience selling into the energy, electrical, wire, cable, utility, or industrial markets strongly preferred.

· Proven success managing strategic accounts and developing new business.

· Strong understanding of B2B sales and complex, technical products or solutions.

· Experience working with manufacturing organizations and cross-functional teams preferred.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

· Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
