What you will do
• Be primarily involved in the activities pertaining to the Baseband Node level design and verification integration activities of new multi-standard radios for various technologies including 5G (NR), 4G (LTE), 3G (WCDMA), and 2G (GSM)
• Involved in Node Integration activities for Ottawa site by coordinating with other sites and stakeholders.
• Plan, develop and execute test cases
• Formally document test plans and test results
• Help to maintain and enhance the hardware development lab environment
• Contribute to the overall success of the Radio Verification team goals
The skills you will bring
• Experience in working in 3GPP physical layer verification and/or conformance testing (3-5 years preferred)
• Experience in Moshell
• Good Understanding of Mapping Netconf and LAZY CVs for Node configurations
• Good understanding of various TMs (Test Models) and Test Vectors and incorporating them in Node Integration mapping
• Good understanding on Baseband DU (Digital Unit) with eNode-B and eNode-G, NG-OLLS
• Understanding of Cloud RAN with network setup
• Experience of RF verification and Test equipment
• The ability to work in a team as well as independently
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think outside the box
• Experience with antenna pattern testing or other over the air testing is considered an asset
• BSc level in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
• 3-5 years related experience in NR, LTE, WCDMA, and/or GSM radio performance verification
• Solid knowledge of 3GPP Physical Layer performance and conformance test standards
• Solid understanding of basic communications theory
• Solid understanding of wireless systems & technology
• Experience using Microsoft Windows/Office
• Strong team & interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of RF test instruments (Agilent, R&S, Anritsu)

The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is
• Ottawa: $85,000 - $111,300 CAD
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of 2 medical and dental plan options that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of the Deluxe medical and dental plan coverages for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson's Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee's contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee's contribution (maximum of 4% match). Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
