Work Location: AgeCare Corporate-Ontario 
FTE: 16 hours per week 
Employment Type: Temp Part-Time, 1 Year contract  
Salary: $46.15  $51.28 per hour  

This is a hybrid role that includes required travel to sites. 
 
The Opportunity 
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Occupational Health and Safety Project Manager to join our team at AgeCare. As the OH&S Project Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the continued development and implementation of an effective and strong Occupational Health and Safety program across our Ontario portfolio. The OH&S Project Manager will lead, identify, develop, and manage Employee Health, Safety, and Wellness strategies, with a focus on industry best practices, effective program management, oversight, and day-to-day administration.

What You Will Do 

  • Provide guidance, coaching and technical expertise to support management accountability for occupational health and safety programs, injury prevention, incident management, and regulatory compliance. 

  • Support and maintain relationships with external health and safety stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, consultants, and provincial safety partners. 

  • Analyze incident, illness, injury and claims data to identify trends, develop recommendations, and support operational decision-making.  

  • Preparing monthly and quarterly health and safety performance reports for operational and corporate leadership, and report on safety performance.  

  • Support audit readiness activities, compliance reviews, corrective action tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives across Ontario operations. 

  • Lead initiatives that reduce workplace injuries, improve audit results, strengthen regulatory compliance, and support positive employee health and safety outcomes.

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience 

  • Continuing education in Occupational Health and Safety. 

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in Occupational Health and Safety, including experience leading projects, programs, or teams. 

  • Experience in healthcare, long-term care, seniors living, or a similarly regulated environment is considered a strong asset. 

  • The ability to participate in extensive travel and a valid provincial driver’s license and access to a vehicle. 

  • The ability to analyze and interpret information contained in business related documents, write reports and business correspondence, and effectively relay/present information accordingly. 

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills, analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Workday experiences are a plus.
