JOB PURPOSE:
- The S.Medical Manager utilizes the medical resources and expertise to develop and enhance Patient support and KOL management across ELI region . He / she should provide the best use of information, research results and medical updates to customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
- The S.Medical Manager is responsible for managing all compliance aspects of all patient programs across ELI and is the medical partner for commercial colleagues to ensure providing the medical support needed to drive the success of these programs. He / She will use the medical resources, capabilities and expertise to develop a patent and compliant pathway to initiate and maintain patient programs and enhance patients' compliance and loyalty to their treatments.
- He / She will maintain a detailed metric-based follow up to ensure success of patient's initiatives and highlight needed areas for more governance and defense strategies.
- He / She will develop long-term partnership with medical societies, patient groups, HCPs, universities and authorities aiming to direct Pfizer resources and initiatives for the best well-being of patients and treatment outcomes.
- The S.Medical Manager will provide the medical support for the Oncology portfolio in coordination with the customer facing colleague whenever business needs emerge in outsourced markets.
POSITION RESPOSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop and execute Medical Awareness & Educational programs needed for HCPs.
- Obtain, analyze and share patients and HCPs insights related to Patient Programs across the region.
- Design and Manage HCPs/Patient Advisory Boards across the Key Markets to obtain customer insights.
- Develop and organize other medical activities in coordination with the Marketing group, such as: Local & regional workshops, scientific symposia, local & Int'l speakers' tours to support Pfizer patient and portfolio strategies.
- Prepare and compile medical resources / Products' Scientific data/Clinical articles/Publications /Studies/Journals/Slide-kits and Presentations, to be used according to local SOPs
- Identify Disease area/Customers' Medical needs and exchange inputs
- KOL Management: Participate and develop Key Opinion Leader's (KOL's) & Health Authorities partnership programs in coordination with the Marketing group.
- Prepare and conduct medical training sessions for the field force as per training medical affairs guidance
- Review, develop and update Medical-Training modules & materials and recourses needed for Pfizer colleagues and third parties involved in Pfizer Patient Programs.
- Provide the medical input, guidance and Contribute to the design and approval of patient materials
- Lead the process of Data Generation to identify patients' needs and management of diseases.
- Co-ordinate and utilize specialist knowledge with colleagues in formulating and implementing medical strategy
- Answer medical or technical questions concerning patient programs in ELI region
- Provide medical training and education to internal and external staff on Oncology disease areas, policies, regulations and other areas to engage teams and enhance the internal and external capabilities to conduct and manage Patient Programs.
- Coordinate and align with Legal, Medical Compliance, Regulatory, Commercial, PA and other internal functions to ensure compliance to SOPs and local regulations in all promotional and patient activities and materials. Ensure Adherence of compliance/company procedures & policies (SOP's)
- Senior medical manager is responsible of reviewing and approving Pfizer meetings, materials and grants based on merits and scientific content. He/she provides the needed FCPA reviews and supports the teams with necessary advice and trainings.
- Monitor the archiving process of promotional and Patient materials and HCP's contracts and ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
REQUIRED SKILL SET
Technical
- Medical background (MBBCh, MD, PhD, Biology, ....etc)
- 3 years of medical affairs experience , oncology experience is preferrable
- Excellent Knowledge of internal policies and local regulations across countries.
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Excellent presentation skills
- High Communication and Cross-functional Skills
- Keep up to date with market trends and new developments utilizing information or business improvement
- Ability to both provide and receive constructive feedback
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and clients
