Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student-Maintenance Engineering and Factory Automation for Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will...
- Support Maintenance Engineering, Factory Automation, Buildings and Grounds initiatives at the Foundry
- Execute Maintenance Engineering Projects: BOM's, Spare Parts, PM's, Contingency Plans, and machine/facility layout
- Execute Factory Automation Projects: Electrical control system design and print development, Programmable Logic, and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) maintenance
- Execute Continuous Improvement (CI200) Projects: Priority will be on Safety and Machine Availability
- Gather, review, and analyze data to understand trends and determine priorities for project assignment and execution
- Support Indirect Materials & Services (IM&S) purchasing

What Skills You Need
- Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in engineering, technology, or related field; others may apply
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university
- Graduation date of Spring 2026 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly during the business hours of 7 AM to 5 PM CST
- Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly during the business hours of 7 AM to 5 PM CST
- Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa, on a daily basis year-round
- Preferably pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Technology, Automation Technology, Mechatronics/Controls Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering
