This is a remote role that must be based in North America as it will require 30-40% travel around the region.
The Partner Development Manager, IT Ecosystem is responsible for building, managing, and expanding the company’s network of strategic IT partners. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance collaboration with partners, driving mutual growth and success, and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership Development:
- Identify and evaluate potential IT partners that align with the company’s goals and values.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to establish and nurture partnerships with key IT vendors, and service providers.
- Negotiate and formalize partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, addressing any issues and facilitating communication between partners and internal teams.
- Conduct regular business reviews with partners to assess performance, identify opportunities for growth, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Ecosystem Expansion:
- Identify gaps in the current partner ecosystem and develop strategies to address them.
- Work with cross-functional teams - including Product Marketing, Partner Marketing and Partner Engineering - to integrate new partners into the ecosystem, ensuring seamless collaboration and operational efficiency.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay informed about the latest developments and opportunities in the IT partner landscape.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of partnership initiatives.
- Prepare and present regular reports on partner performance, partnership contributions to revenue, and other relevant metrics.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize partnership strategies and improve outcomes.
- Marketing and Enablement:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop co-marketing programs and initiatives that promote joint offerings and enhance partner visibility.
- In partnership with the Partner Enablement lead, design and implement partner enablement programs, including training, certification, and support resources, to empower partners and drive engagement.
- Innovation and Collaboration:
- Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging partners to collaborate on new solutions and services.
- Facilitate joint development efforts and co-innovation projects that leverage the strengths of both the company and its partners.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience (or 6 years + Master's degree) including experience in partner management, business development, or a related role in the IT industry.
- Strong understanding of the IT ecosystem, including knowledge of key vendors, technologies, and market trends.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and managing strategic partnerships.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
- Proficiency in using CRM and partner management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Target Annual Compensation (salary + commission): $140-240k
