The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

  • Process end-to-end biweekly/monthly payroll for Canadian employees in accordance with federal and provincial legislation.

  • Review and validate payroll inputs such as timesheets, new hires, terminations, bonuses, and benefit deductions.

  • Ensure payroll compliance with CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) requirements and provincial employment standards.

  • Reconcile payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and conduct regular audits.

  • Administer statutory remittances including CPP, EI, federal/provincial income taxes, and WSIB/CNESST contributions.

  • Support T4 and RL-1 preparation, year-end processing, and records of employment (ROEs).

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and benefits with professionalism and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data integrity across systems.

  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and ensure data is securely stored and handled.

  • Assist in payroll system upgrades, testing, and process improvement initiatives.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher and (4) four years of experience in payroll systems in a private, public, government or military environment

And

(1) one year of experience processing Canadian payroll systems

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Solid understanding of Canadian payroll legislation, CRA requirements, and employment standards across provinces.

  • Experience with payroll systems such as ADP or Workday.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience in a multi-provincial payroll environment.

  • Bilingual in English and French.

  • Knowledge of U.S. payroll experience

Work location: Remote Canada

Travel: No travel required
