Role
We are looking for a Phishing Analyst-SkillBridge Intern to join our Red Canary R&D team. This is a remote role reporting to the Manager, Detection Engineering. Phishing Analysts have a keen eye for detail and a natural ability to spot social engineering techniques often used in phishing attempts. You will be responsible for reviewing suspicious emails, performing open-source research, and determining whether the emails are malicious or benign.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Serve as the Candidate’s guide through the Red Canary Program.
- Act as a sounding board for career goals.
- Support both internal Red Canary and external job searches.
- Share civilian transition experiences, as appropriate.
- Support or coordinate resume review assistance and set up mock interviews.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 1+ years in a technical facing role troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with a wide range of technologies.
- Deep interest in understanding adversary tactics and techniques.
- Current Active Duty United States military member or Guard/Reserve component member on active duty orders for at least 180 days with 180 days or fewer remaining prior to discharge.
- Unit commander approval.
- MOU approved and submitted before start.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Cybersecurity experience.
- Experience with Google Suite and Slack.
- Proficiency with project management tools like Jira and Asana.
