In this strategic role, you’ll be a key partner to the game team, delivering impactful insights that drive both high-level direction and day-to-day optimisations. You’ll lead analytical efforts to deeply understand player behavior, guide data-informed decisions across game design and product development, and identify opportunities to boost engagement, retention, and monetization.

As the owner of the data roadmap, you’ll champion best practices in analytics, and ensure a high standard of data quality and insight. You’ll also mentor and manage a small team of talented data analysts, helping them grow while aligning their work with the team’s broader goals. Your work will directly influence feature development, live-ops performance, and business outcomes.

You will have impact and fun at work by doing:

  • Act as a strategic partner to product, design, and development leads, shaping game direction through data-driven insights.
  • Define success metrics, design experiments, and analyse player behavior to guide feature development and live operations.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of analysts, fostering impactful, high-quality analytical work across the game team.
  • Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimisation in both player experience and business performance.
  • Own the data strategy for the game, ensuring alignment with overall product goals.
  • Develop and maintain key dashboards and KPIs to monitor game health and performance.
  • Present actionable recommendations that drive player engagement and business growth.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing clear, evidence-based guidance.

  • As a leader and as a supervisor in the data craft:

  • Supervise and mentor a small team of data analysts, fostering growth, performance, and well-being.
  • Support career development and guide team members in setting and achieving personal growth goals.
  • Inspire high performance and contribute actively to studio-wide objectives.
  • Lead key analytics initiatives across the business unit, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Act as hiring manager when needed and support team expansion.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner for studio leadership, bringing a data perspective to key decisions.
  • Maintain fluency in analytics tools and workflows, including data pipelines and version control; actively challenge and improve existing tools and processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in analytics craft, culture, and collaboration across the wider data team.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience as a data analyst in free-to-play mobile games.
  • Solid experience in product data leadership and people management.
  • Proven track record of driving product development, optimisation, and live-ops through data.
  • Strong academic foundation in data processing and statistical analysis.
  • High proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R for data manipulation, modeling, and visualisation.
  • Skilled in data visualisation tools to clearly communicate insights.
  • Deep knowledge of experimentation methods, including A/B testing, statistical inference, and hypothesis testing.
  • Technically hands-on, able to execute ideas efficiently and independently.
  • Strong communicator, able to simplify complex findings for diverse audiences and contribute to team discussions.
  • Experienced in leading complex, cross-functional analytics projects.
  • Advanced expertise in multiple areas of data craft; recognized as a subject matter expert in at least one.
  • Proven ability to mentor and grow talent, supporting career development.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Passionate about games, product impact, and continuous improvement.
  • Detail-oriented where it matters and driven by business outcomes.

It would be nice if you also have the following skills:

  • Experience working with AI, LLMs and utilising the tech in practical applications.
