About the role
The Principal Product Designer at AgelessRx plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital experience. You’ll lead the design of seamless purchase journeys and evolve a robust, scalable design system that brings our mission to life, delivering transformative healthcare treatments with clarity and care. Working closely with product, marketing, and engineering, you’ll design thoughtful, engaging experiences that connect health data, clinical expertise, and personalized interventions into a cohesive and empowering purchase experience. Your work will change public perception of Ageless, shifting it from an online pharmacy to an online longevity platform, providing proactive health care and changing opinions on what health care can be.
What you'll do
- Create purchase experiences that feel engaging, influential, and easy to understand.
- From the first sketch to the final pixel, you’ll lead the end-to-end definition of the experience. From defining flows, shaping interactions, and making sure every moment feels effortless and intentional.
- Bring clarity to complex topics that are fuzzy. Through quick prototyping, thoughtful research, and good instincts, you turn ambiguity into aha moments.
- Turning vague ideas or potentially boring forms into bold, user-centered experiences that people actually love using.
- Contribute to product strategy and feel comfortable shaping hypotheses and tests with your product manager partner.
- Push the boundaries of what great UI can be. Develop forward thinking concepts that set a new bar for design excellence while making our brand feel fresh, modern, and unmistakably AgelessRx.
- Define and enforce design guidelines, lead pushing the companies’ design expression and system forwards while challenging when we don’t need to add new components.
- Inspire and elevate the design team. Develop workshops, lead critiques, and create a culture of relentless creativity and growth.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Medical to design a longevity ecommerce experience that helps hundreds of thousands of patients make ongoing proactive health decisions.
- Asking “why not?” as often as “why?”. Bringing fresh, unexpected thinking that will set our experience apart from every other digital health app.
- Transform complex data into captivating stories through animations, micro-interactions, and eye-catching visuals that influence visitors on the fence to take the leap.
- Infuse life into every interaction. From progress trackers to micro-success animations, use motion design to make every user feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of proven experience leading UI design initiatives for digital products, ideally in SaaS, eCommerce, or telehealth sectors.
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing a mastery of UI design and craft, including complex interfaces, interactive components, convincing graphics, and engaging story telling through photography.
- Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing and executing visually striking, user-centric interfaces that drive engagement and evoke positive emotional responses. Showcase 1-3 projects with strong user delight examples.
- Expertise in ecommerce, experimentation, designing for growth conversion, and simplifying complex topics like pricing and plan lengths.
- Proven ability to translate complex concepts into visually compelling and easily digestible graphics and interactive components that help influence and motivate visitors.
- Proven ability to design and implement interactive components, transitions, motion, and animations. These components should create a sense of flow, reduce cognitive load, drive engagement, reinforce brand identity, and foster a memorable user experience.
- Experience in leading, facilitating, analyzing users research as well as applying learnings to your designs.
- A personal passion for improving longevity and/or the healthcare system, providing open-minded preventive care for millions of Americans.
- Comfort in asking the right questions, testing fast, and helping teams figure out, “What this should even be.”
- Expertise in design systems architecture, with experience in building, extending, and scaling comprehensive component libraries.
- Demonstrated experience designing scalable UI systems that balance brand consistency with opportunities for delightful surprises, ensuring that playful elements align with overall brand voice and user context.
- Someone who thrives working in highly complex spaces and bringing simple and intuitive solutions to life to improve user comprehension.
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence employees and present design strategies effectively.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional design initiatives.
- Expert proficiency in Figma, and emerging design tools, with a focus on interactive prototypes and responsive design.
- Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to ensure feasibility and alignment with engineering.
- Passion for mentoring and elevating design talent, fostering a culture of feedback, growth, psychological safety, and design excellence.
- Experience designing branded illustrations at scale is a plus.
