GoDaddy is on a mission to empower small and medium entrepreneurs to sell anywhere. GoDaddy Payments plays a key role by enabling GoDaddy customers to accept payments across channels with some of the lowest processing fees in the industry.

As a Principal Product Manager on the GoDaddy Commerce team, you will lead the strategy and development of merchant capital products. You will define the end-to-end experience and platform capabilities that enable GoDaddy customers to qualify for, access, and manage working capital.

You will have the opportunity to build and scale a GoDaddy-controlled capital offering while balancing merchant experience, credit risk, regulatory requirements, and business performance. Your work will directly affect the growth and profitability of GoDaddy Commerce.

What you'll get to do...

  • Define the product strategy, business case, and delivery roadmap for Capital on Us, a GoDaddy-controlled merchant capital offering.
  • Own the end-to-end merchant experience, including discovery, prequalification, application, offers, funding, repayment, renewals, and servicing.
  • Partner with Credit and Risk to develop underwriting models, eligibility policies, decisioning strategies, pricing, and risk guardrails.
  • Evaluate funding and operating models, including warehouse and lending partners, funding capacity, risk-sharing structures, vendor economics, and build-versus-partner decisions.
  • Partner across Engineering, Design, Data, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Go-to-Market to prioritize and launch new capabilities.
  • Define and track performance across eligibility, conversion, funding, utilization, repayment, credit losses, portfolio health, merchant outcomes, and financial performance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of GoDaddy customers, merchant financing needs, competitors, and industry trends to identify and prioritize new opportunities.
  • Communicate strategy, decisions, trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and progress to senior leaders and cross-functional partners.

Your experience should include...

  • 7+ years of product management experience building and scaling customer-facing or platform products.
  • Experience building credit, lending, merchant capital, or other financial products involving underwriting, decisioning, funding, or portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated ability to own a complex product from idea and strategy through delivery, launch, measurement, and ongoing optimization.
  • Solid understanding of how customer experience, credit policy, risk management, operations, and unit economics work together in a lending product.
  • Experience partnering with Engineering and Data teams to build technically complex platforms, decisioning capabilities, models, and customer experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead across Risk, Credit, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Design, and Go-to-Market teams.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to analyze trade-offs, define product economics, make decisions with incomplete information, and explain complex issues to senior leaders.
  • Ability to drive clarity, decisions, and execution across globally distributed teams without direct authority.

You might also have...

  • Experience building financial products for small businesses or entrepreneurs.
  • Experience launching products across multiple markets or regulatory environments.
  • Experience integrating third-party financial services into a broader product ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with data science or machine-learning applications in credit decisioning, fraud prevention, or personalization.
  • Experience using JIRA, QuickSight, FullStory, or similar product-development and analytics tools.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience or skillset doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement. We value a wide range of backgrounds and transferable skills, and we are excited to support learning and growth.
