Position Overview:
Entrust is looking for a talented individual with a passion to learn and contribute to the development of our industry-leading PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) product solutions.
The Research and Development team is looking in Ottawa for a principal engineer to work on our PKI portfolio with a focus on our next generation Cloud and Enterprise PKI products.
This role will challenge the successful candidate to use their technical leadership, architecture and development skills to build integrated security solution.
Responsibilities:

Contribute to the enterprise architecture for the PKI department
-
Directly contribute to the design and implementation of new software features to meet market expectations
-
Will be called upon to architect and lead various projects collaborating closely with PMs, the operation team and our offshore colleagues
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
-
Minimum 7 years of combined development experience with Java
-
Minimum 5 years experience designing, developing, deploying and maintaining enterprise solutions
-
Minimum 3 years of technical leadership, mentoring onshore and offshore resources to deliver team velocity and quality output.

Proficiency in Agile development, DevOPS and CI/CD concepts
-
Working knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems

Knowledge of Certificate lifecycle management and Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concept

Strong English language communication skills (both verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Working knowledge of Entrust PKI products is a plus
-
Knowledge of Jira/Confluence/Crucible/Clover/Maven/Git a plus
-
Knowledge of Go and C++ is a plus
