At Metalab, we design, build, and ship some of the world’s most beloved products. Our clients include Slack, Uber, Coinbase, Atoms, and, most recently, Suno, an AI music creator. Founders at early-stage startups hire us to help build businesses from scratch. Leaders at global enterprises hire us to explore new technologies and launch new products.

As a Product Designer, your ability to balance form and function is as good as your ability to balance client and user needs. You can adapt to new challenges like a pro. We’re an end-to-end digital product shop, so we’ll need your strategic thinking and collaborative design chops at every stage of the game, from research to wireframes to visual design.

If you’re passionate about high-quality products and working with talented cross-functional teams, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Join us and be part of delivering some of the world’s most interesting and impactful products and services.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and support your team to design and build products that you feel genuinely proud of.
  • Apply your design thinking and execution skills throughout the entire product lifecycle, keeping a keen eye on opportunities to step in and step up.
  • Participate in design team reviews, sharing, and brainstorms.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product design experience.
  • A portfolio that reflects your strengths in both UX and visual design skills.
  • Solid experience in prototyping and interaction design.
  • Fluent in translating stakeholder goals, user research, and complex user flows into intuitive and delightful user interfaces.
  • Demonstrated interest in staying ahead of best practices, developments, and trends in design and innovation.
  • Strong ability to deliver compelling design rationale in both client and internal contexts.
  • Motivated by feedback and the opportunity to improve the work and how you come together as a team.
