Product Engineer Intern
Analog Devices Inc. is seeking an ambitious ECE student as a Product (Design Evaluation) Engineer to join our RTP IC development team (Summer 2026). You will join a team of digital, analog and mixed signal CMOS engineers, algorithm and software developers implementing state-of-the-art RF chips. As a member of the Product engineering team, you will be responsible for a specific product or group of products from product definition through production and release.
Product Engineer will participate in pre-silicon system development emulations, verification of pre and post tape out. There are huge variety of tasks a product engineer can get involved in either software algorithm validation, digital, RF, analog evaluation etc. This role will provide the opportunity to work with the full development team as the product moves from concept to customer.
- Perform functional and performance testing of new system and core technologies.
- Debug, evaluate, characterize and analyze integrated circuits across all operating conditions, document and present findings to design and the greater team.
- Utilize precision measurement equipment such as high-speed scopes, spectrum and network analyzers. required to establish different RF, analog, power, and/or digital performance metrics.
- Develop bench hardware and software to control and automate bench test equipment using Python and other programming languages
- Navigate design databases for products to develop test solutions as well as make recommendations on testability, manufacturability, qualification readiness, and field quality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a BS or MS degree in EE or ECE (preferably a rising Senior or a candidate that will entering an MSEE program in the Fall of 2026)
- Experience or desire developing automated bench measurements
- Familiarity with bench test equipment including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators
- Circuits knowledge that includes experience in an area related to analog circuits, RF circuits, signals and systems, ADCs, DACs, high speed serial interfaces, microcontrollers
- Entry level knowledge of a programing language such as LabVIEW, Python, Visual BASIC, HTML, and/or C/C++
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management and team skills
- Capable of clear, accurate and timely communication; both written and verbal.
