About this role:

Wells Fargo CMSPL is seeking an experienced and innovative Product Development Director to lead our credit cards product development strategy and execution efforts. This strategic role is responsible for developing and executing the product development strategy, aligning cross functional teams and delivering exceptional product features and experiences that drive profitable growth and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in building products and features with a deep understanding of consumer credit, agile methodologies and data driven decision making.

A blend of strong people leadership, collaborative style, risk mindset, technical understanding, commercial insight and hands-on leadership will be key to success in this role.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with P&L owners to translate product strategies into a clear product development roadmap.
  • Manage the originations and servicing card product areas, including testing and other controls.
  • Identify product enhancement opportunities through analytics, market insights, consumer research and complaints.
  • Drive end to end the product development cycle from design to execution, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
  • Work with stakeholders across the organization to develop detailed product requirements balancing customer experience, profitability and risk.
  • Implement agile product management best practices, fostering a strong agile discipline that inspires teams to continuously improve delivery evidenced through key metrics.
  • Manage prioritization to meet product development portfolio goals and investment plan.
  • Foster a collaborative and high performing culture across product, tech, delivery, controls, legal, compliance and risk.
  • Mentor, inspire and develop top talent.
  • Engage with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities, clear roadblocks and communicate progress.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Product Management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong track record in attracting, retaining, and developing product talent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of agile development, product discovery and customer experience best practices.
  • Demonstrated track record of effective influencing and collaboration at all levels.
  • Prior experience designing and operationalizing product change management
  • Risk management mindset embedded in thought process and decisions.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of consumer lending product, preferably credit cards or personal loans.

Job Expectations:

  • Up to 25% travel required

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$173,300.00 - $359,900.00
