You will be a key part within our NuOrder by Lightspeed group to help Lightspeed make great products and strong decisions grounded in data. This is a highly technical role for someone who is comfortable building a data platform to support an ecommerce like NuORDER Marketplace across platforms.

The Product Manager II, Product Catalog is responsible for the development and optimization of our Product Catalog on NuORDER by Lightspeed, which powers user experiences on all of our NuORDER and POS platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, data management, data analytics and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences in the retail industry.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Create a roadmap with cross-functional PMs and drive those initiatives to completion. Define and prioritize product features based on industry standards and business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering to deliver high-quality Marketplace experiences.
  • Identify and execute ways to effectively manage (cleaning, mapping, standardizing) large data sets from multiple data sources in order to enable high quality user experiences.
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility within the catalog.
  • Create easily understood product delivery plans and requirements in collaboration engineering.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and effectiveness of the NuORDER Catalog.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to data management.

What you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • Data-driven mindset - strong analytical skills to help root your decisions 
  • Great communicator who drives success through alignment
  • Experience building products or features from the ground up, working from an idea to a launched product
  • Expert in Agile/Scrum development cycle, building and delivering high-quality software on time
  • Experience integration systems using APIs and/or middlewares
  • Ability to prioritize requests and manage stakeholder expectations as data is in heavy demand

Required: 

  • GBQ / SQL experience is required
  • Retail experience is required
  • Prior experience in Catalog Data Management

Nice to have, but not necessary:

  • Google Cloud Platform’s data solutions (BigQuery, Dataform, Looker)
  • Jira
  • Knowledge of GitHub

At Lightspeed, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skillset, qualifications, experience, and market data. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We reasonably expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $130,000 to $150,000 USD, depending on the candidate’s location. Additionally, this role may be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. Lightspeed also provides a variety of employee benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, wellness, life and disability insurance, 401K plan and match, paid parental leave top-up, and paid time off. 

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within the United States, and refers to the amount Lightspeed is willing to pay at the time of this posting, which may vary depending on the candidate’s actual location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
