Position Summary:


Our Director of Product for the Static Code Analysis / SAST tools team at Perforce is searching for an enthusiastic and experienced Product Managerto join the team. The Product Manager at Perforce will identify the market need through performing research and collecting data from a series of stakeholders (internal/external). The Product Manager will connect the business outcomes, customer outcomes, strategy and technical plans via a product roadmap. They must be grounded in customer needs and steeped in technology to be able to understand and influence the User Experience and Engineering community, while at the same time being aware of the business and go-to-market strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Help develop the product strategy informed by customer and market insights, competitive analysis, technical capability, and internal initiatives/assets.
  • In collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams and the Product Owner, define and evolve the product roadmap.
  • Help manage the full product lifecycle, market analysis, requirements definition, delivery and testing, education, internal business readiness and customer deployment.
  • Perform In-depth market competitive analysis, gather customer insights to develop competitive positioning.
  • Work cross-functionally with go-to-market teams to drive product messaging externally and support product marketing efforts globally.
  • Act as representative for engineering in customer update calls and roadmap presentations.
  • May be required to support additional products/brands as needed.
  • International travel as required. 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a product management or similar position
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency in English. 
  • The ability to gather, analyse and confidently present relevant data. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Deep comfort with technical systems. 
  • The ability to work cross-functionally as a team member and influencer. 
  • Understanding of C/C++ /Java/C# software development processes and tools. 
  • Systems programming experience with Linux and Windows – advantageous
  • Hands on experience with static code analysis / SAST solutions – advantageous 
  • Knowledge of embedded systems – advantageous
  • Experience in functional safety standards and compliance – advantageous
  • Understanding of software security and secure coding practices – advantageous 
  • Experience with continuous integration, DevOps automation tools and automated testing - advantageous
