About this role
Planday is seeking an experienced Product Manager of Partnerships who possess a strong blend of product management expertise and business development acumen.
An experienced Product Manager of Partnerships at Planday will be expected to spearhead the strategy and execution of product integrations that drive growth and strengthen the company's market position. This pivotal role will involve a multifaceted approach to managing the entire partnership product lifecycle.
How you’ll make an impact
- Partnership Product Strategy: Developing and communicating a clear product vision and strategy for integrations and partnerships. This includes identifying and prioritizing potential partners and integration opportunities that align with Planday's overall product and business objectives.
- Integration Development and Maintenance: Overseeing the entire product development lifecycle for integrations and open APIs, from conception and design to development, launch, continuous improvements and ongoing maintenance. This involves working closely with engineering teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of high-quality, reliable integrations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acting as the central point of contact for all things related to partnership products. This requires close collaboration with various internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success, to ensure that integrations are effectively brought to market and supported.
- Commercial Partner Engagement: Working directly with commercial partners to understand their needs, align on joint value propositions, and drive mutual growth. This includes negotiating and managing technical aspects of partnership agreements.
- Market and Performance Analysis: Continuously monitoring the competitive landscape and the performance of existing integrations. This includes gathering and analyzing data to measure the success of partnerships and identify areas for improvement and future investment.
What you’ll bring with you
- Proven experience in product management, ideally with a specific focus on building and managing SaaS integrations and APIs.
- A demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful product strategies that have resulted in measurable growth.
- Strong technical understanding of APIs and software development processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing product teams.
- A strategic mindset with a passion for identifying and capitalizing on new market opportunities.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and measurable results.
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models, product integrations, APIs, and technical partnership requirements.
- Proven commercial acumen, with experience in negotiation, contract management, and driving revenue through partnerships.
- Strong stakeholder management.
- The ability to influence and build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
