About Tyba

Tyba provides a software platform for developing and operating battery storage and renewable energy power plants. Our mission is to increase the economic output of the grid, and we do this by helping power companies execute proprietary bidding and operational strategies, deliver higher returns, and build innovative infrastructure projects that support decarbonization and electrification. We are a fast-growing, Series A company backed by top investors and working with the industry's leading companies. You will have the opportunity to shape our product at a pivotal time in our growth.

The Role

We're looking for a Product Manager, reporting to the CEO, to own product strategy and execution across Tyba's platform, spanning project simulation and live operations workflows. You'll work closely with our Engineering, Commercial, and Commercial Operations teams to translate customer needs into clear roadmaps and ship high-quality products.

You'll need to develop real depth in energy markets and power plant operations. Our customers are sophisticated, and good product decisions require understanding their world.

Responsibilities

  • Own product direction

Define product priorities aligned with business goals. Develop expertise in power markets and asset operations so you can make informed decisions.

  • Drive execution with Engineering

Partner closely with Engineering. You own the problem and solution statement, they own delivery, and you collaborate throughout. Lead planning and discovery, turning ambiguous problems into concrete scope. Manage inbound requests and triage issues by severity.

  • Be the voice of the customer

Talk to customers and prospects regularly. Own discovery conversations, understand their workflows and pain points, and translate insights into product priorities.

  • Ship quality products

Own the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including success metrics, stakeholder coordination, and documentation. Hold a high bar for the end-to-end experience, using the product yourself and anticipating points of confusion. Own lightweight UX work including user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to validate approaches before building.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven success owning the full lifecycle of a complex B2B software product

  • Strong technical fluency that enables you to collaborate with engineers on architecture and implementation tradeoffs

  • Customer orientation that energizes you to talk to customers and translate their problems into product direction

  • Ability to own lightweight UX work, including journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes, when dedicated design resources are unavailable

  • Strong analytical thinking that helps you balance customer value, business goals, and technical feasibility

  • Bonus: Familiarity with energy markets, grid-scale storage, or energy asset operations

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $180,000 to $220,000

  • Equity: Opportunity to own a meaningful stake through our employee stock option plan

  • Benefits: Parental leave, medical benefits, unlimited PTO

  • Flexible Work: Hybrid work model, remote work options, and team offsites.
