Product Operations Manager - Temporary Parental Leave Cover
Liferaft is looking for a highly skilled and visionary Product Operations Manager who will play a pivotal role in supporting the Product team. This role will be hybrid in Halifax, NS, or fully remote within the Eastern, or Atlantic timezones within Canada.
The Product Operations Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the product organization by ensuring adherence to best practices, enabling data-driven decision-making, managing product tooling, and facilitating seamless cross-functional coordination. This role is critical in standardizing workflows, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring that product teams deliver high-quality, customer-centric solutions in alignment with strategic business objectives.
This is a full-time employee maternity leave backfill with potential to transition into a permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-growth SaaS company while collaborating with a dynamic and cross-functional team.
What you do as the Product Operations Manager at Liferaft
Product Best Practices
• Develop, implement, and maintain standardized frameworks and processes to streamline product planning, prioritization, and execution.
• Ensure the adoption of modern product management best practices through formal education, peer knowledge sharing, and continuous benchmarking against industry standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by organizing workshops, retrospectives, and peer reviews to refine and evolve practices.
Data Collection & Presentation
• Build and maintain robust systems to collect, aggregate, and analyze product performance data.
• Create insightful dashboards and reports to track key product metrics such as usage, adoption, and customer feedback.
• Present data findings in a compelling and actionable format to support strategic decision-making across teams.
Product Tooling
• Identify, implement, and optimize tools to enhance the efficiency of product management processes, including roadmapping, analytics, and collaboration tools.
• Ensure seamless integration and adoption of tools across teams while maintaining data quality and consistency.
• Provide training and support to maximize the value of tools used by the product organization.
Inter-Department Coordination
• Act as the central point of contact between product, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to align on product goals and priorities.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure readiness for product launches and update
• Create and maintain structured feedback loops to incorporate insights from customers and stakeholders into the product development lifecycle.

•Ensure stakeholders have consistent access to relevant product insights through well-maintained dashboards, reports, and research summaries.
•Strengthen data-informed decision-making across the product organization, contributing to improved adoption, customer satisfaction, and overall product performance.
Product Tooling Optimization
• Product teams report increased efficiency and reduced friction due to effective tool implementation and integration.
• New tools and enhancements lead to measurable time savings in product planning, tracking, and reporting processes.
Cross-Functional Alignment
• Improved collaboration across departments ensures timely and successful product launches with minimal disruptions.
• Stakeholders report enhanced transparency, communication, and alignment on product goals and priorities.
Requirements
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in product operations, product management, or a related role, preferably in a SAAS or OSINT environment.
- Strong understanding of the SAAS industry and the OSINT space, with an ability to understand customer needs and market trends.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience driving cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and present actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with product management tools (Pendo, Jira, Confluence, Asana, etc.) and experience in optimizing workflows within these tools.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- A passion for solving problems and improving processes in a fast-moving environment.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience working with OSINT tools or in a data-driven product environment.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of market intelligence tools and platforms.
