The Boeing Salt Lake (BSL) Engineering organization is recruiting a K-level manager to lead the Tooling organization. This leader will provide technical and people leadership across Tool Engineering, Tooling Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Scheduling & Control, and Tool Fabrication. The successful candidate will blend hands-on technical aptitude with strong leadership to develop, inspire, and sustain a high-performing tooling value stream supporting both production and development activities.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and set engineering and tooling design standards, processes, and technical approaches for the tooling organization.
- Maintain close connections with other BSL engineering teams and manufacturing operations to ensure tooling products and services meet customer needs and schedule commitments.
- Monitor and ensure compliance to first-time quality, technical requirements, process standards, customer requirements, and scheduling constraints.
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects to: stabilize and enhance production system efficiency, enable production rate increases, incorporate product/process changes into the production system, and support future development work.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partners; leverage these networks for input on key projects and initiatives.
- Ensure effective scheduling and control practices, and align fabrication capacity with production demands.
- Manage, develop, and motivate employees to achieve their best as individuals and as a team.
- Identify training needs and promote professional development opportunities to grow team capability and succession readiness.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of professional engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 8+ years of aerospace engineering experience in a production engineering environment.
- Experience leading or managing engineering teams, preferably within Tool Engineering or Tooling ME.
- Demonstrated knowledge of composite and metal fabrication/assembly and tooling systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of ETOM (Enterprise Tooling Outsource Management)
- Knowledge and understanding on Tooling Value Stream Management metrics
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, supply chain, program management).
- Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to influence across functions and levels.
