Guide the evolution of enterprise risk management capabilities by shaping tech strategy and architecture for GRC platforms while integrating AI solutions.
Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams - People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more - provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.
The Role
Block is hiring a Program Manager, ERM Tech Strategy & Architecture to guide the evolution of our enterprise risk management capabilities. You will shape the strategic direction and architectural foundation of our GRC platform (Protecht), while pioneering the integration of risk tooling through Block's proprietary open-source AI agent, Goose. Leading with a tech-first mindset, you'll architect innovative solutions to create next-generation enterprise risk management solutions at Block.
The focus is on evolving our risk platforms and data flows to support scalable, insight-driven tooling that brings ERM frameworks to life and embedding risk into daily decision-making to support smarter, faster risk insights. We are looking for a strong understanding of how risk frameworks work under the hood, ensuring systems and data infrastructure reflect and reinforce those principles. It also involves shaping how the platform functions, defining rules of engagement, and collaborating with delivery and enablement partners to ensure alignment with the broader ERM vision.
