ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Black & McDonald’s Southern Ontario FMO team is growing! If you are an analytical and collaborative professional searching for the opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you. The Project Coordinator is located in Mississauga, ON and typically reports directly to the Operations Manager.
The Project Coordinator will assist with the overall administrative direction for one large or several smaller facilities management projects. They will assist with the overall performance, including the management of costs, schedule and project status while maintaining excellent relations with the employees, subcontractors, consultants and our clients.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Plan, in conjunction with the Project Manager, the execution of projects in accordance with Corporate Policy
• Assist with preparing contracts
• Prepare progress reports
• Assist in the purchase of supplies and materials
• Prepare and maintain timesheets
• Document control
• Fleet/equipment management
• Office management
• Scheduling
• Change management

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• University or college degree in construction engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, project management, and/or skilled trade accreditation
• PMP Designation is considered an asset
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• 1-2 years’ experience in operations or facilities management industries
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Effective and efficient written and verbal communication skills
• Planning, scheduling, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of construction industry
• Basic blueprint reading
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
• Own vehicle/full G driver's licence

The expected salary range for this role is between $60,000 - $65,000 per year. The starting salary will be determined based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education and experience. Base pay is one component of Black & McDonald’s total rewards package. Total rewards vary by position and may include additional offerings such as group insurance benefits, pension plan, annual discretionary bonus, career development programs, and other HR programs.
