Department OverviewThe AI & Incident Management Portfolio Strategy & Product Operations team drives several focus areas including Project Management. The team’s mission is to connect our product organizations with actionable product/offer operational intelligence, bring offers to the sales organization that are easy to configure, price, quote and deploy and identify and deliver application value through cross application synergies and initiatives.
Within this team, we have an opportunity for a Project manager to work in a talented, cross-functional, highly collaborative team to lead project management of product deliverables and initiatives including security and compliance of cloud services. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, high data literacy, and intellectual curiosity. Ideally, you are an exceedingly organized, results-oriented individual who knows how to redirect around pitfalls, remain flexible and positive in an ever-changing environment. This role will thrive in collaboration with product managers, engineers, scrum teams, and various cross-functional team members.
Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Instill a culture of accountability and ownership within cross-functional teams, ensuring all members are committed to meeting project deadlines and exceeding expectations. Foster a results-oriented environment where everyone takes responsibility for their contributions."

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with key milestones and deadlines. 

  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and dependencies. Communicate project status effectively to all stakeholders.

  • Successfully manage multiple complex projects involving internal and external stakeholders, including critical certifications similar to or includingFedRAMP. Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget.

  • Driving consensus adeptly and finding creative options when posed with constraints

  • Thrive on ambiguity

  • Understand the technical and legal aspects of decisions being made and are able to clearly articulate these to stakeholders

  • Anticipate issues, advocate for stakeholders, proactively explore contingencies, and provide escalation management throughout new product deliveries

  • Able to determine sufficiency of deliverables, both directly and indirectly

  • Collaborate and coordinate with leaders across organizations whose timelines must synchronize to ensure customers and company stakeholders are informed about product deliverables in a predictable and reliable manner

  • Develop/enhance tools and processes to improve collaboration and reduce redundancy to product delivery success

  • Partner with scrum masters to drive completion of sprint-level activities, identifying and removing roadblocks and negotiating dependencies across teams.

  • Manage schedule and budget, working to ensure proper resource capacity to meet demand. 

  • Responsible for keeping the project data updated on a regular basis as well as providing input as needed for senior leadership review

  • When specific projects involve cloud security compliance controls across environments project manage compliance of solutions enabling solutions to achieve and maintain authority to operate (ATO) 

Technical Skills

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and software development lifecycle preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience with obtaining and maintaining compliance certifications such as FedRAMP or CCCS.

  • Have a working knowledge of technology and security topics including security and application controls - network and application security, infrastructure hardening, security baselines, web server, and database security.

  • Project Tracking tools and daily use tools - Monday, Excel, etc. Atlassian application (Jira and Confluence), Google suite (Docs, slides, sheets).

Soft Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to understand and communicate the big picture while being able to be detail-oriented about execution.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, a strong aptitude to learn, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment; results-driven with a strong sense of urgency.

  • The skills and presence to effectively communicate across all levels of leadership.

  • Able to navigate a highly-matrixed organization and gain trust with leaders across multiple layers.

  • Results-driven and have the courage and confidence to challenge the status quo.

  • People skills - a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts.

  • Strong collaboration & active listening skills. Very strong team player, able to foster teamwork and a positive working environment to the project team.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 8+ years of experience with project management practices and methodologies.

  • AND 2+ years of experience managing the cloud service compliance (CCCS and FedRAMP) and plans for low, moderate and high impact SaaS services.
