Position/Job Title

Project Manager

The Professional Services Project Manager leads the implementation of 8x8 solutions and is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing all assigned projects. This role is primarily customer-facing but does include internal project work from time to time. The Professional Services Project Manager must have a diverse set of communication skills to effectively interact with customers, internal stakeholders, and executives throughout the project lifecycle., internal stakeholders, and executives throughout the life cycle of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Management: The role requires planning, overseeing, and managing the implementation of 8x8 solutions, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope. This involves creating project schedules, conducting kickoff meetings, and maintaining project documentation.

  • Customer Interaction: The Project Manager acts as customers' main point of contact, understanding their needs and ensuring their vision is delivered. This includes leading the gathering of detailed requirements and hosting design and planning sessions to frame the customer's desires into a final product.

  • Team Coordination: The Project Manager coordinates with internal teams, including sales and project support, to ensure all aspects of the project are covered. The Project Manager also check in with their team regularly to ensure tasks are completed and support team members.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication is crucial, especially since the project team is often remote. The role requires the use of tools like Smartsheets, Google documentation, and 8x8's communication solutions to manage expectations.

  • Problem-Solving: The role requires handling challenges as they emerge during the project, such as tight deadlines or complex requirements, by breaking the project into manageable segments and ensuring information is shared across the team.

  • Emotional Intelligence: A key quality for a project manager at 8x8 is emotional intelligence. The Project Manager can communicate effectively with customers, reassuringly deliver bad news, and ensure their team is well-supported.

Skills:

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both client-facing and teamwork-oriented.

  • Risk Management: Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.

  • Budget and Risk Analysis: Help prepare budgets and analyze risks/opportunities.

  • Task Management: Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.

  • Adaptability: Ability to respond to challenges by being adaptable, self-reliant, and detail-oriented.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.

  • Problem-Solving: Monitor project progress and mitigate issues that arise.

Qualifications

  • Must speak fluent French

  • 3-5 years experience in Unified Communication or Contact Center space; Cloud Preferred

  • BS degree or equivalent work experience

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with cloud-based communication platforms is a plus.

  • PMP Certification preferred

  • Proficient in Google G Suite

  • Proficient in Salesforce navigation

  • Knowledge of Smarsheets
