Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Manager with a background in Hydraulic Modelling of Water and Wastewater Systems to join our growing Water Sector in the Greater Toronto Area. As part of our team, you’ll be involved in projects of varying complexity, with opportunities to hone your technical and leadership skills and share your knowledge with a bright and creative group of professionals.
This position can be based either in our Downtown Toronto (Wellington Street) location, or our North Toronto (Steeles Avenue East) location.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain key relationships with clients (municipal agencies as well as industrial clients, developers and landowners) and industry organizations.

  • Identify potential project prospects and lead or assist in the preparation of technical proposals to support marketing efforts.

  • Successfully manage engineering projects of varying scope and complexity, including monitoring of budgets and schedules, allocating resources and maintaining positive relationships with clients.

  • Manage or support Infrastructure Planning Studies including Master Plans, Secondary Plans and Class Environmental Assessments.

  • Manage or support Capacity Assessments of water and wastewater systems in support of private development applications and public infrastructure projects.

  • Collaborate with other discipline leads within and beyond the Water Sector for business development, project delivery, staff development and problem-solving.

  • Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff within the water and wastewater modelling team.
     

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience and expertise with modeling software. Software platforms include InfoWorks ICM, InfoSewer/InfoWater, SewerGEMS/ WaterGEMS, PCSWMM and other relevant platforms.

  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management activities and managing technical staff, with demonstrated ability to manage projects of varying scope and complexity.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.

  • ESRI ArcGIS expertise.

  • Strong hydraulic and hydrologic analysis capabilities.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Municipal engineering design and construction experience a benefit.

  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together to achieve technical excellence.

  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • High level of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.


 

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $112,000-$131,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
