***This position is a 6-month maternity leave contract for a Proposal Writer based in our Toronto OR Vancouver offices***

About the role

You are a concise, direct, and persuasive storyteller with a forensic attention to detail, capable of producing professional client proposals using industry-standard software.  Working closely with business unit experts, you will contribute to the timely delivery of proposals by writing, researching, editing, coordinating, and formatting content into clear submissions that are responsive to client requirements. You will also write case studies, sell sheets, and other collateral to support business development.

  • Create professional, high-quality, compelling proposals that effectively educate and inspire customers and prospects to take action.

  • Strategically manage the proposal response, including writing content and editing submissions to ensure the proposal is accurate, concise, and effective.

  • Write case studies and other collateral as required to support business development.

  • Ensure the consistent and uniform application of Colliers’ standards and brand across communication and applicable tasks.

  • Develop core content to be used in all proposal submissions.

  • Prepare and support proposal presentations/interviews.

  • Participate in trend analysis, proposal debriefings, and other similar opportunities to ensure continuous quality improvement and to identify enhancements for proposal content and processes.

  • Ensure management and follow-up of issues and information requests.

  • Communicate with senior-level managers and the executive team.

What you bring

  • Post-secondary degree

  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office products, including PowerPoint.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in reading and responding to Request for Proposal (RFP) documents and developing proposal submissions and pitch decks.

  • Excellent business writing, editing and proofreading skills.

  • An ability to express ideas and concepts compellingly and convincingly, using text and graphics.

  • Self-starter with superior organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, track projects, and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Comfortable working independently and with a team.

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $76,119 to $100,000

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
