How YOU will make a Difference:
As a QA Engineer at HMA, you'll be part of the IT team and work closely with team members and end users on a number of exciting projects and programs that will have a positive impact on HMA's business.
What YOU will do:
- Analyze, review and validate project requirements and technical specifications, provide and manage test estimates and develop and execute test plans and test cases utilizing standard test methods and tools
- Collaborate with project managers, developers and analysts to address project requirements, deliverables, and any potential road blocks
- Participate in discovery meetings, perform impact analysis from a testing perspective, and documents key issues
- Identify, mitigate, and drive project quality issues and risks to resolution
- Execute tests including, but not limited to, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, System and Integration Testing, Data Validation Testing, etc.
- Record, track, and regress defects using test tools and provides necessary metrics reporting on test execution, defects and overall quality
- Seek out opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of overall test cycle through streamlining test execution and utilizing various tools and techniques
Knowledge, Experience, and Key Attributes needed for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 3-5+ years in Quality Assurance and software testing.
- At least 1 year of prior experience in healthcare or insurance industries preferred
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with test automations such as Jenkins and Perl
- Keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence
- Experience creating test plans in Azure DevOps
- Be willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them
- Be open to receiving constructive feedback and turning it into process improvements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
