 Job Description:

It all starts here! QNX technology has been deployed in the world’s most critical embedded systems, including more than 255 million vehicles on the road today. As a trusted partner to some of the world’s most innovative companies, we’re on a mission to help redefine how we as a company go to market and unlock the next wave of growth.

It all starts with you!

Last year, we launched the QNX Everywhere program, which is changing the game for engineers and software developers, providing free access to QNX® software and resources for non-commercial use. As Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in developing the vibrant and active community around QNX Everywhere.

Overview

In this brand new role, we’re seeking a creative, technically fluent, and execution-driven Developer Engagement Marketing Manager to help grow and energize the QNX developer community as part of the QNX Everywhere program.

This role focuses on marketing execution, content development, and engagement campaigns that attract, educate, and retain developers using QNX technologies. You’ll translate our engineering innovations into compelling stories, build programs that inspire participation, and help position QNX as the trusted platform for safe, secure, and high-performance embedded development across industries.  This is a highly visible position and some international travel may be required.

Why Join QNX:

  • Be at the forefront of the software-defined transformation of the automotive industry.

  • Collaborate with a global, passionate, and supportive team.

  • Drive tangible business outcomes and influence the future direction of our company.

  • Competitive compensation, bonus and benefits package

You will:

    • Execute integrated marketing campaigns that engage developers across digital, social, and event channels.

    •  Develop and implement community engagement programs (newsletters, social, content challenges, livestreams, etc.) aligned with the QNX Everywhere roadmap.

    • Partner with the Developer Ecosystem Director and Engineering to amplify technical initiatives (SDK launches, documentation updates, partner integrations) through marketing channels.

    •  Collaborate with the Events team to plan and execute developer-focused activations at conferences, hackathons, and partner showcases, ensuring technical storytelling and engagement opportunities align with QNX brand and goals.

    •  Coordinate global developer events — hackathons, meetups, university partnerships, and webinars — ensuring consistent messaging and brand experience.

    Content & Storytelling

    •  Produce and curate developer-relevant content: blog posts, how-to videos, podcasts, and case studies that showcase QNX technology in action.

    •  Translate technical material into clear, engaging messaging suited for developer channels.

    •  Collaborate with product and social media teams to ensure unified storytelling across QNX Everywhere touchpoints.

    •  Community Listening & Insights

    •  Monitor community platforms (Discord, Reddit, GitHub discussions, forums) and surface insights, trends, and feedback that inform marketing actions.

    •  Manage communication tools and engagement metrics to track community health and sentiment.

    •  Identify community champions and amplify authentic developer voices through campaigns and content collaborations.

    Measurement & Optimization

    •  Define and track KPIs for developer engagement, community growth, and content performance.

    • Continuously test and refine tactics based on data and developer feedback.

    •  Report regularly on outcomes and recommendations to marketing and product leadership.

    You will have:

    • Proven experience in developer or technical marketing, with a focus on hands-on execution of campaigns, programs, and content.

    •  Strong understanding of developer audiences and communities — able to translate technical topics into clear, engaging marketing content.

    •  Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver marketing activities end-to-end (content creation, social activation, campaign rollout, reporting).

    • Familiarity with developer engagement channels (GitHub, Discord, Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and digital marketing tools.

    • Excellent project management skills — able to coordinate across multiple teams (product, engineering, brand, digital marketing, events) to meet deadlines and KPIs.

    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable producing content such as blogs, tutorials, web page content updates.

    • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global organization

    • Strong analytical mindset — able to track campaign performance, engagement metrics, and community growth KPIs.

It would be great if you have any of the following, but if not, we would still love to review your application:

    •  Prior experience with embedded software, IoT, or real-time operating systems.

    • Knowledge of open-source or developer community dynamics (inspired by Linux or similar ecosystems).

    • Experience producing digital media content (video, livestreams, podcasts).

    • Understanding of marketing analytics and KPI dashboards (Google Analytics, social metrics, CRM tools, etc.).

    • Passion for technology education, developer advocacy, and community-driven storytelling.

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, computer science, or related field.

If you are looking to make a real impact, then we'd love to hear from you!
