OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our Ribbon Application Management Platform (RAMP) team.

Ribbon Application Management Platform (RAMP) is a scalable, cloud-native solution, a microservices-based platform that simplifies the management of Ribbon’s product suite. RAMP enables both enterprises and service providers to expedite system configuration, identify and remediate issues, and reduce operational costs. Built on microservices architecture, RAMP offers robust GUI and API support for seamless integration with existing systems. It provides flexibility, scalability, and comprehensive user experience, managing core and edge session devices.

This role involves designing, building, and maintaining automated test suites and frameworks for our cutting-edge virtualized solutions. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and fellow QA professionals to ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of our platform.

Key features of RAMP include:

  • Centralized Management: Efficiently manage Ribbon products across various deployment environments, including private and public clouds.
  • Fault and Performance Monitoring: Rapidly identify and resolve network and service outages with centralized diagnostics.
  • Scalability and Flexibility: Deployable in standalone or high-availability configurations, including geographic redundancy.
  • Automation and Integration: Supports automated software testing and deployment, with integration capabilities across Ribbon Analytics and Automation.

The position will be within an advanced technology development team, working on the latest technologies leveraging Java and Spring/Spring-Boot frameworks running on Kubernetes/Docker within a virtualized, micro-services application architecture.

A successful candidate must be self-driven, possess a strong work ethic, and with a career interest in software development. They must be excited about working with innovative technologies and comfortable working in a dynamic work environment.

As part of our team, you will

  • Design and implement comprehensive test strategies, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using tools compatible with our Java/Spring Boot microservices architecture
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, test planning, and release readiness
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand features and technical implementation, and ensure test coverage
  • Debug complex issues and drive quality improvements in a cloud-native environment using Kubernetes and Docker
  • Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) by integrating test automation into pipelines
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in test automation and quality assurance
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of QA experience in a software development environment, preferably working on SaaS or microservices-based platforms
  • Associates with 5+ years experience or Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Proven expertise in automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Rest Assured, JUnit/TestNG, or similar)
  • Strong programming or scripting experience
  • Deep knowledge of REST API testing
  • Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka or RabbitMQ)
  • Familiarity with databases – both SQL and NoSQL
  • Experience testing in Docker/Kubernetes environments
  • Solid understanding of Agile software development practices
  • Comfortable working on Linux systems and with version control tools (Git, SVN)
