The QA Specialist will develop and execute test plans, perform manual and automated testing, track bugs, and improve QA processes at iNTERFACEWARE.
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our team at iNTERFACEWARE. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and user experience of Iguana, our integration engine. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a passion for quality, and experience in software testing methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Iguana features and updates.
- Perform manual and automated testing to ensure product quality across functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and support teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Track, document, and report bugs with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments. - Validate bug fixes and ensure that resolved issues meet quality standards before release.
- Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices. - Assist in creating and maintaining automated test suites to increase test coverage and efficiency.
- Provide input into product design and requirements to ensure testability and quality considerations are addressed early.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience in software QA, with both manual and automated testing.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks, tools, and bug-tracking systems. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to clearly document and convey findings to cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience testing integration platforms, middleware, or healthcare interoperability solutions (e.g., HL7, FHIR). - Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Lua).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
