This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer for JD Waterloo Works (Tractor Operations) located in Waterloo , IA , you will:• Identify quality improvement opportunities and lead continuous improvement projects aligned to 8R departmental goals• Manage and maintain production quality control plans, including inspector work content, managing AVI cameras, and MES control plan steps• Support and lead cross functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive systemic improvements• Assist with investigation and resolution of warranty, DTAC, and customer field issues• Foster a positive, engaged work environment through communication, involvement, and strong follow through

What Skills You Need• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including PFMEA understanding, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation capability• Ability to interpret and improve inspection/quality control plans and manufacturing processes• Effective communication skills to work with Operators, NWGs, ME, Production Supervisors, and leadership• Strong personal accountability, follow through, and ability to foster a positive, engaged team environment
What Makes You Standout • Experience leading cross functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives• Ability to train and coach operators on quality expectations, methods, and process changes• Technical competency with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab) and vision/monitoring systems (Keyence, Cognex)
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology, or similar discipline
