The Queen’s Biomedical Innovation Team (QBiT) is an interdisciplinary design team that designs, prototypes, and tests innovative biomedical devices to address healthcare concerns both globally and within our local community.

Position Description: 

All Project Managers will report to the Chief Technical Officer. Project Managers will work to oversee and lead a QBiT design project from ideation to final design throughout the upcoming year. This is a general application for all QBiT projects. Project Managers will be selected based on overall fit and assigned to projects after the hiring process. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Structuring the timeline of the project 
  • Delegating tasks and supervising members of project teams 
  • Keeping track of and managing ongoing tasks for the technical projects and sub-teams 
  • Preparing the project to be taken to competitions or conferences 
  • Taking initiative outside of regular meeting times to further research and design 
  • Utilizing available resources to overcome barriers 
  • Regularly attending executive meetings and providing updates

  • Commitment to the technical teams and QBiT as a whole 
  • Strong leadership qualities during meetings 
  • Excellent teamwork, especially when working with those having diverse backgrounds and skillsets 
  • Action-oriented and takes initiative 
  • Strong problem-solving skills 

Interview info: 

Interviews will take place during June 21st, June 26th, June 27th and June 28th .
