Position Summary:

This position will be a key role in helping to build the infrastructure that will allow data exchange between applications and databases within the company as well as transfer data to and from external sources.   The Real-Time Cloud Data Integration Engineer will ensure data integrity and process consistency while maintaining efficient data integration solutions.  This role will be responsible for analysis, design, documentation, unit testing, and support of data integration to help us drive the future of cloud data services.

This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Principal Data Platforms Engineer.

 

What you will do:

  • Design and develop real-time integration solutions using AWS, Azure, Kafka, and other cloud technologies.
  • Work with 3rd party data providers and APIs to deliver data to platforms including Salesforce, Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, RDS, and other cloud data platforms.
  • Write, test, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and integration processes.
  • Maintain and support existing Azure Data Factory and other integration process
  • Ensure a high degree of data quality and security from end to end across integrations.
  • Participate in the design and execution of governance activities associated with ensuring data solutions architecture assurance and compliance
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Write and maintain documentation on integration processes and execution procedures

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies and integrations (strong knowledge of complex database queries/joins and integration tools and platforms)
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud and data engineering or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in real-time data processing technologies (e.g., Confluent, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Spark Streaming, Azure Event Hubs and Event Streaming).
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C#, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their data integration services.
  • Experience with data integration tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory)
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, integration processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with REST and other web API and data transmission technologies
  • Experience using version control systems (GIT, SVN, TFS, etc)
  • Experience with Jira for project management and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Salesforce and ERP systems
  • Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams)
  • Solid understanding of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.

 

Physical Demands:  

Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)
  • Keyboarding (40-60%)
  • Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone screen requiring close vision (95-100%)

 

Work Environment:

100% Remote:  Work environment is at home.

 

Compensation:  

$122,000 to $130,000/yr prospectively plus 5% bonus with consideration to experience and geographical location.  Please see www.clearcaptions.com/careers for an overview of our generous benefits program.
