Salary Range: $75,000/year Base + Commission


The nesto Group is ecstatic to announce a new mortgage origination partnership… very soon. Before the new partner can be announced we are looking for the right mortgage professionals help to re-launch a household brand back into the broker market. Our new partner has a long track record of excellence in the prime and alt-A residential lending and is looking at an aggressive approach to growing market share in the Greater Ottawa and Toronto areas.


Position Overview:

As a Business Development Manager at the nesto group, you’ll be at the forefront of originating residential mortgages through the mortgage broker channel. You’ll join the fastest growing mortgage company in Canada, backed by the best technology in the industry, and benefit from full support provided by our experienced risk team—including skilled underwriters and document specialists.


Reporting to the VP of Sales - B2B Partnerships, this is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of sales execution and strategy. You will have the autonomy and accountability to design, test, and refine our go-to-market approach, shaping how we reach and win broker clients. You have worked as a broker or a BDM in the past and have a keen understanding of what mortgage brokers need in a lending partner and how to make them look like rockstars to their clients.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop and own the go-to-market strategy in alignment with company goals, including segmentation, positioning, messaging, and channel strategy.

Build and manage strategic relationships with key mortgage brokers across your region.

Deliver outstanding service and sales support, including product training and guidance on lending policies.

Collaborate with underwriting, product, and customer success teams to ensure a cohesive customer journey.

Represent nesto partnerships at industry events, reinforcing our reputation and strengthening broker engagement.

Drive results with a focus on funded volume, broker efficiency, and client satisfaction metrics.

Use CRM tools to track progress, report on key metrics, and inform strategic decisions.

Act as the internal voice of the customer, sharing insights that influence product development and market positioning.


This Role is Perfect for You If You:

Excel in sales, relationship management and development with a proven track record of success.

Have a strategic mindset with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach.

Have comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage brokerage community in your region.

Possess a strong background in residential mortgage credit.

Have excellent presentation and communication skills.

Have strong problem solving and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple demands under tight lines.

Have your Mortgage Broker/Agent license (required).


Bonus Points if you Have:

Previous mortgage underwriting experience would be considered an asset. 

Bachelor degree in business, finance, or marketing would be considered an asset.
