About the role

  • We’re looking for a Regional Research Assistant (RA) to support the successful execution of clinical research studies across our Etobicoke, Brampton, and Manna Toronto sites. Etobicoke will be the primary location, with regular travel to the other sites based on participant and study needs. You’ll work closely with Investigators, Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs), and the wider site teams to ensure studies run smoothly, safely, and in full compliance with protocols and regulations. This hands-on role includes phlebotomy, participant follow-up visits, chart and data-query reviews, data entry, sample processing, and accurate study documentation. Site assignments will be planned with advance notice wherever possible. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday, generally 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m

What you'll do

  • Study Protocol & Safety: Conduct study activities in compliance with GCP, SOPs, and protocols; monitor participant safety; and perform scheduled visits and assessments (e.g., vitals, ECGs).
  • Recruitment & Enrollment: Support recruitment efforts, screen participants, obtain informed consent, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Study Visit Execution: Perform phlebotomy and blood collection as a core responsibility; support participant follow-up visits; and complete other delegated tasks such as sample collection/shipping, point-of-care testing, and investigational product accountability.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance: Complete chart reviews and resolve data queries; maintain accurate source documents, CRFs, and CTMS records; report adverse events promptly; and support investigational product inventory and storage compliance.
  • Site & Administrative Support: Support operations across Etobicoke, Brampton, and Manna Toronto; prepare for monitoring visits and audits; maintain ISF; organize exam rooms and labs; assist with scheduling, participant check-in/out, data entry, and outreach. Regular travel is required, though travel among all three sites in one day is not normally expected

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Have a degree in a health, science, or research-related field, or equivalent relevant experience supported by basic health and medical knowledge.
  • Have phlebotomy training and demonstrated experience independently performing blood draws in a clinical, laboratory, or research setting.
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence and have reliable transportation. Travel between sites is a core requirement, and employees are responsible for their transportation between work locations.
  • Have experience in clinical research, healthcare, patient testing, or another relevant patient-facing environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with participants, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Are tech-savvy and comfortable navigating Microsoft Office, clinical data systems, chart reviews, and data-query workflows.
  • Thrive in a team environment while also working independently, staying organized, and adapting to changing priorities across multiple sites.
  • Bring Hindi or Punjabi language skills—an asset for participant communication at the Brampton and Etobicoke sites, but not a requirement. Experience with follow-up visits, informed consent, ECGs, vital signs, point-of-care testing, or sample processing/shipping is also an asset.
