Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Regional Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities within an assigned territory. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, external sales teams, and affiliated companies, ensuring seamless collaboration and maximizing revenue opportunities through both direct and intercompany sales channels.

The successful candidate will proactively engage customers, support project opportunities, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and promote the company's products and services while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory.
  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, customer visits, and referrals.
  • Manage and grow direct sales, rental opportunities, and intercompany sales by collaborating with internal branches, affiliated companies, and external sales teams.
  • Prepare quotations, follow up on leads and projects, and provide solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Conduct regular meetings with customers at their offices, job sites, or virtually to understand current and future requirements and identify opportunities to increase business.
  • Monitor industry projects, tenders, bid opportunities, and market trends to identify and pursue new revenue opportunities.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to promote products and services.
  • Coordinate with customers, operations, and service teams to ensure timely delivery, availability, and ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • At times, deliver Portable Variable Message Sign (PVMS) boards and other company products to customer locations or project sites, ensuring safe, professional, and timely service.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, forecasts, and required documentation within company systems.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS (OR KEY SKILLS, COMPETENCIES)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience  
  • 2+ years of experience in sales/account management, dealing specifically with contractors. 
  • An understanding of OTM books and Traffic management 
  • Knowledge of computer programs; Word, Excel, Outlook, Quoting systems. 
  • Confidence and willingness to meet with potential clients. 
  • Proven ability to effectively navigate organizational complexity, respond to new situations with flexibility, and excel in a fast-paced environment 
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills - Experienced in delivering client forward solutions based on customer needs 
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently 
  • Self-motivated, possessing a high level of enthusiasm and drive. 
  • Full G class driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
