Job Description
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a highly motivated and results-oriented Revenue Operations Manager, Sales Compensation . This person will be a leader within the Revenue Operations organization, responsible for independently driving mission critical processes, initiatives, and technologies that support Sales. This leader is a self-starter and highly accountable and able to bring order to ambiguous problems and processes which are often faced by Operations teams. Given the process, analytics, and systems focus of this role, in addition to the functions list above, close collaboration with peers as well as information technology and finance group are required for success. This includes interacting with and influencing all levels, including senior management. Someone who is successful in this role will possess the requisite domain expertise, business acumen, execution mindset, and the ability to drive results across multiple functions and teams. This leader will be asked to solve complex business challenges and/or run complex business processes. A high level of detail orientation is required from scoping through to completion. A self-starter mentality is also a must, as this role will operate with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring programs/processes it is responsible for are effectively planned, executed, and continuously optimized for long-term success. This role will involve working with multiple internal and/or external team members, some of which are more senior to it, directly and/or indirectly. This will require positivity, accountability, creativity, and leading by example.
What You'll Do

  • Operational Excellence - Measurably improves critical compensation processes or functions across Revenue Operations
  • Drives Innovation - Continuously seeking opportunities to enhance operational capabilities and accommodate growth
  • Turning Ambiguity into Results- Business acumen, domain experience, and maturity to navigate complex problems, align on a course of action, and ensure results
  • Domain Ownership & Leadership - Develops/Operates/Executes Sales Compensation within Revenue Operations and serves as the subject matter expert in that domain. Manages day-to-day execution and is consulted on long-term vision, staying current on industry trends, tools, and leading practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication - Builds strong relationships across teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT). Ensures alignment, addresses concerns, and communicates updates to all relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Efficient and Effective Operator - Drives Sales Compensation with pace and urgency to maximize efficiency and time to value. Is an expert at compensation plan strategy, design and execution.
  • Drive Sustainable Optimization & Best Practices - Identifies, designs, and implements improvements that enhance operational effectiveness or efficiency. Defines, documents, and refines processes and methodologies based on performance data and feedback.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making - Leverages data to inform both strategic and tactical decisions. Tracks and interprets key metrics to evaluate the success and ROI of initiatives/operations.
  • Leads Initiatives - Independently drives sales compensation programs or projects. Establishes goals, coordinates resources (direct or indirect), and ensures that measurable outcomes are achieved on time and within scope.


What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who:

  • Can work hybrid, from an Applied Systems offices
  • Ability to travel up to 10%


Your experience should include some or all the following:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Analytics, Strategic Planning, Compensation, or a related field
  • Experience in sales compensation strategy, design, and execution to ensure incentive programs align with business objectives and drive sales performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or computer science
