Job Description

Individuals in the Enterprise Risk Management are entrusted with managing the diverse and collective impact of the bank's risks. This involves identifying and managing enterprise-level and cross-cutting risks, designing scenarios for stress tests, managing climate risk, and safeguarding against reputational risk. This role is integral to the overarching objectives of the bank, as it ensures the bank's operations are within defined risk appetite and helps maintain financial stability. The role provides a comprehensive view of risk management, enabling the bank to anticipate, assess, and mitigate potential risks, crucial for the bank's sustained growth and success. This lead will operate at the intersection of product management, process optimization and technology enablement, and requires high-level strategy and the ability to get into the details of processes, data and tooling to drive meaningful improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep understanding of the groups risk frameworks (risk appetite, limit, concentration and strategic risk).
  • Analyze current business process and be responsible for identifying, executing strategic and operational initiatives across the group to champion process improvements. Document business needs
  • Take charge of executing components of the ERM transformation and BAU program enhancements, specifically through technology tools, constantly reviewing, and challenging the processes in place to ensure alignment with the firm's expectations as a required function of the job.
  • Be accountable for overall team technology book of work, prioritization and backlog. Lead technology budget management process, informed by process analysis, including documentation of future state roadmap and vision for tools.
  • Organize and administer working groups and stakeholder meetings to support key program milestones, monitoring the proceedings closely. Drive regular communications with process stakeholders and senior management.
  • Establish clear operating model for limit technology strategy across business, risk management, product owner, and technology teams
  • Collaborate with internal team and cross-functional teams (e.g., Data and Technology) to ensure on-time delivery of program requirements and solutions. Act as a bridge between business and technology-related teams.
  • Present findings, recommendations and progress updates. Escalate program risks as appropriate.
  • Be accountable and sign off on UAT, to ensure delivered solutions meet business goals.
  • Support regulatory and audit reviews at various levels, providing the necessary oversight to ensure compliance with all rules and standards.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of teams and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Prior work experience, preferably related to business analysis and/or strategy consulting
  • Critical thinker with excellent analytical skills who communicates clearly both orally and in writing
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management principles and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, oversee, and execute complex programs involving a wide range of stakeholders often with competing priorities
  • Collaborative thinker who can also work independently, multitask and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines
  • Ability to influence teams with non-direct reporting lines to ensure compliance and effective implementation of risk management strategies and enhancements.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint,
  • Proficiency in Agile

Education

Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
