Position Overview:

Carbon Robotics is seeking a hands-on Service Technician responsible for the inspection, repair, refurbishment, and redeployment of laser weeding modules. This is a contract position, with eligibility for renewal. 

This role reports to the Field Operations team and focuses on keeping modules operational and circulating efficiently between field machines and service locations. The technician will diagnose failures, perform repairs, document work, and help maintain inventory of ready-to-deploy modules at main bases and also at remote locations.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, proactive, and comfortable working with tools and technical equipment. 

Key Responsibilities:Module Service & Repair
  • Inspect returned weeding modules for defects, failures, or performance issues
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and refurbishment of modules
  • Replace components and conduct functional verification before redeployment
  • Ensure serviced modules meet operational standards before returning them to inventory
Inventory & Logistics
  • Maintain accurate records of module status, repair history, and inventory levels
  • Prepare serviced modules for redeployment to field teams
  • Help maintain a ready stock of modules to support field operations
Documentation & Procedures
  • Follow established service procedures and repair protocols
  • Maintain detailed service logs and documentation
  • Contribute to improving repair procedures and service documentation
Field Support
  • Travel to support field teams when necessary
  • Assist with module replacement or troubleshooting on customer machines
  • Help replenish module stock in regional locations
Qualifications:Required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools
  • Ability to follow technical procedures and maintain accurate documentation
  • Hands-on problem-solving mindset
  • Organized and disciplined with record keeping
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Travel Required at 50% plus
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
Preferred
  • Experience servicing electromechanical systems or agricultural equipment
  • Experience with robotics, sensors, or automated equipment
  • Field service or equipment maintenance experience
  • Basic understanding of troubleshooting electronics or mechanical assemblies

Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.

$35$38 USD
