Prospecting & Territory Development
- Research target accounts within assigned territories and verticals
- Identify decision-makers using LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, and other prospecting tools
- Build and maintain targeted prospect lists
- Keep account information accurate and current in Salesforce
- Execute daily outbound prospecting at consistently high activity levels through:
- Cold calling and voicemail campaigns
- Personalized email outreach and structured follow-up sequences
- LinkedIn engagement
- Trade show, event, and marketing campaign follow-up
- Referral outreach
- Conduct first-level qualification of every prospect to establish:
- Facility type, energy profile, and operational characteristics
- Utility / ISO market
- Decision-making process and stakeholders
- Interest level, timing, and fit with Rodan Energy solutions
- Coordinate calendars with the assigned BDD to schedule discovery calls, virtual meetings, facility visits, and executive introductions. Every meeting is handed off with complete background information and qualification notes so the BDD enters prepared.
- Maintain complete Salesforce hygiene, documenting all calls, emails, notes, activities, next steps, contact information, and opportunity status — updated daily, without exception.
- Review weekly priorities with the assigned BDD
- Build target account lists and support marketing campaigns
- Follow up after trade shows and events
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing account
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 1–3 years in sales, SDR, inside sales, business development, or a customer-facing role
- Outbound cold-calling experience preferred
- CRM experience (Salesforce preferred); familiarity with sales engagement tools is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication with a professional phone presence
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Persistence, coachability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfort working toward — and being measured against — clear goals
- Location: Hybrid - Mississauga HQ (3 days per week expected)
- Selling energy solutions, industrial products, B2B technology, SaaS, manufacturing, or engineering services
- Working with commercial & industrial customers, manufacturers, utilities, or energy markets
