About this opportunity:
As Sales Director Business Development, you will report to the Head of Business Development and Sales Operations for Customer Unit Canada.
The primary objective of the Business Development account is to drive growth across mission-critical communications, enterprise, and non-traditional segments in Canada-spanning new business acquisition through to the successful execution of signed contracts in line with end-customer expectations.
In this role, you will be accountable for defining the account strategy, developing go-to-market models, and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the public and private sectors. You will be responsible for expanding existing contracts and promoting new solutions from Ericsson's Mission Critical portfolio, enabling Customer Unit Canada to capture opportunities in new and emerging areas.
Internally, you will serve as the Account Commercial Responsible (ACR), leading the Core 3 (ACR, CSR - Customer Solutions Responsible, CFR - Customer Fulfillment Responsible) to deliver against account objectives and targets while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Ontario: $160,000- $ 210,000
Sales Incentive Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson's Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across public and private sector organizations
- Lead the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial contracts and partnership agreements
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders-including delivery, finance, legal, and marketing-to ensure successful project execution
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates
- Monitor market trends, government policy and political developments, competitor activity, and customer feedback
- Ensure full compliance with Ericsson's policies, governance, and ethical standards
The skills you bring:
- Education: Master of Business Administration, Master of Engineering, or a related field required
- Experience: Demonstrated success leading complex, relationship-driven sales engagements within the ICT sector, ideally across mission-critical, defense, or public sector environments
- Strong understanding of the Ericsson portfolio, with a strong emphasis on Defence and Mission Criti-cal Communications solutions
- Strong understanding of the Canadian telecommunications landscape, including regulatory, com-mercial, and competitive dynamics
- Proven knowledge of the Canadian defense and public sector ecosystem, including procurement models, stakeholder structures, and long-cycle sales processes
- Proactive, results-oriented leader with strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and de-cision-making skills; able to thrive in complex and fast-paced environments and influence across matrix organizations
- Demonstrated financial acumen, coupled with innovative and creative thinking
- Excellent presentation, communication, and executive engagement skills
